Chelsea 1996:

Sponsored by Cartier & Harpers & Queen Magazine, the garden was a tribute to the walled garden spaces of Sissinghurst Castle and it’s creator Vita Sackville-West.

Award: Gold Medal & “Best of Show”

To contrast with the walls & paving, a contemporary bronze water sculpture was located within a planted border.

To the side of main garden, coppiced Hazel trees were planted to form “The Nuttery”: to echo the woodland walks at Sissinghurst Castle.
