Mill House, Norfolk:

Designed by Cambridge architects Cowper Griffith, Walker & Watson were commissioned to design a minimalist but naturalistic garden around a large new build.

Situated on an elevated site with sweeping views of the Norfolk coastline, our design concept was to seamlessly create a garden that blended with the surrounding coastal landscape. Reminiscent of nearby country estate Holkam Hall, large semi-mature Pine trees were imported from Germany to frame views to the sea.

Thousands of russet coloured perennial grasses were planted in drifts around the house to visually merge with the distant mud flats of Brancaster Staithe.
